In Production
As a teenager, Ajna Jusić discovers an old shoe box in her mother’s closet and a well-kept family secret: her “biological father” is a war criminal and she was conceived by rape. Almost three decades later, the perpetrator is still a free man. In an effort to deal with this trauma, Ajna decides to break her silence and narrate her life on stage. Through a personal process of healing, she is also trying to heal societal wounds in Bosnia and Herzegovina – a country that is still recovering from the war of the 1990s and trying to make peace with its past.
